In addition to my more than 15 years at Pre-School, I have had positions in Bradford Council, schools, and as a lecturer at Craven College and Leeds Beckett University.
In my early years, my profession also took me to the US and Belgium.
I strongly believe that kids should spend time outside, whether it is in the forests, parks, city, neighbourhood, or at the pre-school.
Play promotes learning and development in children, and at the Pre-School, we excel at it.
I spend my free time studying because I am currently pursuing my MA in Early Childhood at Leeds Beckett University if I am not biking or climbing a very steep hill.
I started working at All Saints Pre-School nine years ago after volunteering while my daughter was a student there in 2008.
My aim is to provide the finest care possible for all of the young children in our care, offering a secure and stimulating environment for them to learn, develop, and grow as people, whether that's in the classroom or outside on our exciting and challenging Forest Schools sessions.
I have a wide range of interests outside of preschool, but live music and the arts are two of my favourites.
I began working in the early years here at Pre School as a student in 2011 as I finished my level 3 certificate, and I stayed there for an additional six years while I finished my foundation degree in early years.
In October 2020, I will start working at this Pre-School once more.
I am passionate about outdoor play and in particualry the Forest school sessions here at Pre-School a place that gives the children complete freedom, and where I enjoy watching the children grow in confidence and learn about taking risks whilst outside in the woods.
In the setting, I have also provided support for a number of kids with SEN and complex needs.
I've been employed with All Saints Preschool for 22 years, and I still like being here.
I have an NVQ 3 and am constantly learning new things.
Previously I have followed a career in the international hospitality industry and in higher education, Both my children attended All Saints Pre-School from the age of 2 where I also was a committee member for five years as a parent volunteer before joining the team as a Pre-School Assistant in September 2020.
