Our facility, which we first opened in March 2017, has the ability to care for 98 kids at once.
We are conveniently located between St. Marks and Etruscan Primary School in the heart of Shelton. Hanley City Centre is only one mile away, while Newcastle-Under-Lyme Town Centre is 1.6 miles away.
The location also has a quiet space for small group work and a sensory room. We are also pleased with our gorgeous, vibrant, and interesting outside space.
With three cooking stations for vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and halal meals, our excellent purpose-built kitchen is fantastic. We also employ a nursery cook, and every member of staff is certified in food hygiene at either Level 2 or Level 3.
We serve daily meals that are wholesome and nutrient-dense and use fresh ingredients from nearby supermarkets. To make sure that our kids consume a range of foods and taste cuisines from around the world, we have a four-week menu.
By modifying the ingredients, we can accommodate all dietary needs and allergies while, whenever feasible, ensuring that children eat the same meal.
All children are kept safe and secure at all times by Busybugs Day Nursery. Along with safe, coded entrances, we also run 23 cameras of digital CCTV around the entire building and its surroundings.
Before starting work, all of our employees undergo DBS checks, and each one is certified in paediatric first aid and has undergone the necessary safeguarding training.
All trainees are working toward a minimum of NVQ Level 2, and room leaders are trained to at least NVQ Level 3 in childcare.
