From the Caterpillars Pre-School
Caterpillars is a well-known organisation that first emerged in the Eight Ash Green community in the early 1960s. The group's goal at the time was to give kids a space to hang out and engage in play-based learning.
The organisation relocated to St. Andrew's Church in Marks Tey in 2002, and both of its Ofsted inspections in 2002 and 2007 were successful. In 2011 and 2016, we obtained "Outstanding" ratings across the board, and at our most recent inspection in January 2020, we received "Outstanding" ratings once more.
2009 saw Caterpillars get an invitation to establish a facility on the grounds of Birch Church of England Primary School.
Since then, Caterpillars Birch has grown steadily, getting an outstanding Ofsted rating in 2011 and 2014 in addition to a favourable assessment six months after it first opened.
Caterpillars is a constantly changing organisation that adapts to meet the requirements of the kids, the community, and governmental regulations and norms. As our staff participate in continual training, we also put new concepts into practise and alter processes.
At Caterpillars, everyone shares and benefits from one another's knowledge. Our staff members approach each child as an individual in an effort to assist them in finding their own answers, feeling comfortable and secure, progressing at their own rate, and enjoying their time with us.
Children who are not yet legally able to attend school should get high-quality care and instruction.
Work together with parents to support children's learning and development.
Offer a service that embraces diversity and promotes equality to kids and their parents.
We make an effort to offer a setting and activities that excite and stimulate kids to learn through doing.
