From the Edge Hill Youth Club
To provide young people with chances to develop and improve their personal, social, and life skills, the centre debuted as Edge Hill Boys Club in 1933 before moving to Durning Road as Edge Hill Youth Club in 1962. We have expanded our services and changed from Edge Hill Youth Club to Edge Hill Youth & Community Center in response to shifting community needs. The centre underwent a significant renovation in 2015. Today, we are pleased to be able to provide our members with access to first-rate amenities, such as a music room, sports arena, and outdoor area. We currently provide a range of services for people of all ages. Although our organisation has seen significant change during the years we have worked in Edge Hill, our main priority has remained maintaining a secure, orderly, and structured environment where locals may thrive. The Edge Hill Youth & Community Center is supported by a management committee made up of six important figures from the neighbourhood and the community. These six people give their time freely to further the interests of our centre, the local community, and its members. Without the extraordinary contribution provided by our volunteer management committee, whose diligent work has ensured our future possibilities, we would not be where we are today.
