From the Fairfield Nursery
By offering a high standard of service that is individualised, attentive, and as flexible as possible, Fairfield Nursery hopes to comfort parents.
Children start learning as soon as they are born, and the everyday experiences they have at home are just as crucial to their development as the new abilities and pursuits they will come across at daycare and subsequently in formal education.
We think that working with parents and giving children a happy, caring atmosphere with thoughtfully planned, engaging activities gives kids the foundational skills they need to continue developing throughout their lives.
Since 1994, our steadfast adherence to this concept has helped us establish a reputation for providing newborns and young children with a professional setting that is yet warm and nurturing.
Our goal is to give kids a secure, loving atmosphere where they can grow in all aspects of their development—physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and artistic.
We encourage kids to form kind relationships with teachers, classmates, and other kids, and we work to create a welcoming, secure atmosphere for them to learn in.
The nursery day is structured around a schedule of everyday activities and rituals that kids like and can easily become used to.
We design a wide variety of activities throughout the day using a wide range of subjects and themes in collaboration with kids and parents/caregivers. Running parallel to planned activities is a continual free choice provision.
Regardless of whether they have a full-time or part-time job, children have the chance to pick and participate in all activities because each day is divided into two curriculum-based sessions (in the morning and in the afternoon).
The Fairfield is a substantial Georgian home with an acre of grounds.
We have two enclosed play areas behind the nursery, each with brand-new outdoor gazebos for 2015, allowing for year-round outside workshops!
The bigger of the two play areas is a huge enclosed 'L' shaped area with a combined safety surface and lawn area, and it is designed to accommodate older kids.
Children are strictly supervised by personnel throughout all outdoor activities in the secure, fully enclosed play areas.
The nursery is housed in a lovely Georgian building of Grade II with a separate cottage for infants.
