Ed has 20 years of experience managing and expanding businesses in a variety of industries, with a current emphasis on education.
He served as CEO Europe for Cognita Schools, a renowned international group of independent campuses, before joining First Class Learning in June 2016. His portfolio included 66 schools in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
At Cognita, Ed was responsible for 47 schools in the UK and Spain and the education of around 20,000 pupils, focusing on improving educational standards and inspiring every child to exceed expectations.
Ed worked across a variety of industries in both the UK and foreign markets for the first six years of his career while working for Bain & Company, a renowned worldwide consulting business.
David is responsible for financial matters, as well as aspects of Marketing and IT.
Born and educated in Aberdeen and a graduate of Business Studies at The Robert Gordon University, David is our Financial Controller with over 20 years' experience in finance roles.
Stacey is also a First Class Learning Centre Manager and co-owns three centres in West London.
Over the past 15 years, Simon's entrepreneurial instincts have driven him to create ground-breaking products to help kids with certain math learning objectives.
He has used them in his own after-school tutoring facilities, where he now works with 140 kids of different ages, including small groups in a nearby elementary school.
Simon created the hugely well-liked 3-minute maths software and website because to his significant expertise teaching mathematics and his creative use of pedagogical strategies.
The First Class Learning math programme is continually being updated and improved by Simon and his team of certified math teachers and practitioners. They also create new modules to keep up with the evolving curriculum.
David managed a training organisation that administered BTEC exams in telecommunications while working in the telecommunications business. He also taught math and English fundamentals.
After a brief period working on famine relief programmes in East Africa, David worked as a mentor for children with specific learning needs as well as teaching psychology and running a successful teacher training programme.
He also managed three prosperous tutoring facilities in the North East.
David is a Durham University alumnus and a member of the Chartered Institute of Training and Development.
Pat helped to conceive, develop, and implement the FCL English Program as a co-founder of First Class Learning.
As a Modern Languages graduate, she recognises the importance of secure grammar and vocabulary skills in mastering language and using it effectively and creatively.
She earned her degree and became certified to teach English as a foreign language.
Pat has worked for many years as a tutor of English and other languages, as well as gaining extensive experience supporting literacy in mainstream education.
Chris assisted in the conception, creation, and implementation of the FCL Maths Program as a co-founder of First Class Learning.
Celia Stone has over 35 years of expertise as a specialist teacher of dyslexic children.
Celia has a wealth of experience and has become a recognised authority in the field of special needs education.
