A family partnership runs Ready Steady Grow! For both staff and children, we seek to reproduce a warm, nurturing family environment throughout our nursery.
Dad Steve Wallace, one of our cooks, also oversees the business's management. Steve has a level 2 diploma in food preparation and hygiene and is a very enthusiastic cook who is accustomed to feeding lots of people with healthy appetites. Some people will know Steve as Chairman of NHS Hartlepool, a part-time position he will combine with his responsibilities at the facility.
Prior to this, he had management positions in the public and financial sectors. He has a wealth of knowledge in sales, marketing, and political campaigning.
With years of experience and continuously outstanding Ofsted ratings, Helen's daughter is a highly certified and experienced childminder. As the day-to-day manager of Ready Steady Grow!, Helen is in charge of creating the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and making sure that childcare and fun are provided to the highest standards.
Daughter Caroline has an NVQ Level 3 in childcare and has experience as a nursery nurse. In addition to bringing in the best features of other nurseries, Caroline has experience with large 100-plus place day nurseries (more than twice the size of Ready Steady Grow!) She also knows the features to avoid to ensure we provide a personalised and individual service to each child - and their parents!
Mom Lynn is a matron who specialises in infection control for the NHS. Although she won't be involved in the nursery's daily operations, her knowledge on how to prevent infections ranging from stomach bugs to infectious diseases has been crucial in developing our cleanliness guidelines and nursery layout.
