Kevin Jenkins OBE, who has a long-standing commitment to giving kids and teenagers in the London Borough of Newham and the neighbouring communities opportunity.
Since its founding, AAA has provided a variety of services located at the Terence Brown Arc in the Park, a community play centre, inclusive resource, and delivery centre for kids and teenagers in Canning Town. The Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub, AAA's second neighbourhood hub, launched in Stratford in the summer of 2018 and built on the popularity of the services provided there.
A wide range of initiatives and services are currently provided by AAA in Newham from both hubs and across local communities. Our work specifically targets and aids children and young people in need, including those who have special needs or impairments. Our current projects include after-school programmes, holiday play and youth activities, youth clubs, activities geared toward people with disabilities, detached youth projects, information, advice, and support for young people in need, mentoring and personal development programmes, doorstep inclusive sports clubs, and outward-bound experiences.
To develop the self-worth to have ambition, the self-assurance to aspiration and the skills and self-belief to achieve, for all children and young people to attain their greatest potential, regardless of background, ability or disability.
To offer fully inclusive experiences and opportunities for growth to children and young people in the London Borough of Newham and its surrounding areas, along with support to help them overcome any challenges they encounter, resulting in positive outcomes that make a difference and change their lives.
