Be aware of what is happening and when. View more. In September 2013, the three-form entry Muslim primary school The Olive School, Blackburn, began operations. We support core British values and accept applications from people of all religions and none. The Olive is a highly well-liked and overcrowded institution. It was established in response to the intense local demand for a top-notch education that would fulfil local families' ambitions. Our school vision of educational excellence is based upon our unshakeable belief that every child is special and unique and has the capacity within themselves to flourish and succeed. As teachers, we feel honoured and privileged with the responsibility for nurturing, inspiring and supporting every special individual child at our school to make sure they are able to shine, succeed and develop their natural gifts and talents. Everything we do is a reflection of our overall school vision. We are committed to provide each of our kids inspirational and life-changing educational opportunities. Self-discipline, compassion, respect for all people regardless of differences, and reverence for the land itself form the foundation of our school. These core principles serve as the cornerstones of both British society and the Muslim faith. We want our students to become intelligent, self-assured young adults who will become outstanding role models in the heterogeneous world in which we live.
