The school has created a community code known as The 5 B's for the entire school in order to accomplish these goals.
The five Bs are based on the fundamental principles to which we strive, and the school actively promotes these principles.
We believe it is crucial to take into account the opinions of parents, students, and the larger school community.
Additionally, students have the chance to elect Year 6 students to serve as House Captains for each of the school houses, Ash, Birch, Lime, and Maple.
Throughout the course of the regular school day, as well as when dealing with behaviour and during school assemblies, the significance of rules—whether they be those that govern the class, the school, or the country—is continually emphasised.
The values and purposes of rules, how they govern and protect us, the duties this entails, and the repercussions when rules are broken are all taught to students.
With the knowledge that they are in a secure and encouraging atmosphere at school, students are actively encouraged to make decisions.
By offering a secure atmosphere and setting clear guidelines for behaviour through our Community Code, we as a school teach and provide young students the tools they need to make decisions safely.
Students are encouraged to be aware of, comprehend, and exercise their rights and liberties, as well as given instructions on how to do so properly, through programmes like Abbey Skills and E-Safety, for example.
Our Community Code and our 5Bs have influenced our school's ethos and behaviour guidelines.
Respect for others is encouraged by our ethos, which is reaffirmed by our behaviour code and school regulations.
