From the Allonby Primary School
On the west Cumbrian coast, there is a successful, modest, and inclusive school called Allonby School.
Following their inspection in October 2018, OFSTED has maintained its GOOD rating for it.
We have two KS1 and KS2 classrooms as well as a Foundation unit, which opened in September 2014 and consists of Reception and Nursery.
Our ties to the local community and church are quite strong.
Villagers are frequently encouraged to join in on activities and festivities at the school. They are also highly dedicated to helping the school raise money and provide other skills and services.
We strongly identify as a community school.
Our current organisational structure is as follows.
Our head teacher teaches in KS1 for 0.9 of the time, while the KS2 teacher works full time.
We are working with 24 kids, 16 of whom are in KS2.
The photos of our children engaged in a wide range of activities in the "Children" section of our website's class pages and gallery for the entire school serve as visual proof that Allonby School offers a broad and varied curriculum.
We provide a wide selection of extracurricular activities, including badminton, football, cooking, first aid, netball, dance/drama, multi-skills, and gardening, at various times during the year.
We have created a link to the Pakistani school Islamabad Convent School, which is incredibly different in terms of size, geography, and ethnicity.
The kids can then develop a "genuine" understanding of another country's culture.
Children come first at Allonby School, where each and every student is valued as a member of our school family.
Every student at Allonby School is valued and respected for their opinions and for who they are, and we work hard to treat everyone fairly and honestly.
We value and advocate for leading a healthy lifestyle, as well as for communication and cooperation among all members of the local and larger community.
Please feel free to contact the school with any questions if you can't find the information you need there.
You are more than welcome to visit our school, and this can be arranged by getting in touch with the school office and setting up a time that works for both parties.
