I'm pleased to welcome you to our website on behalf of the governing board and as the headteacher of Blyton cum Laughton Church of England School.
The website is regularly utilised by parents, carers, and kids, according to comments.
We will keep improving the site, and we would be happy to incorporate any suggestions you may have.
Since my arrival in 2016, having the opportunity to lead the school has been a delight, which culminated in the extremely positive SIAMs and Ofsted (Spring 2018) inspections.
For the following academic year, the squad hopes to expand on these results.
The "Head's Together" meetings, which provide a place for discussing any inquiries you may have regarding school life over coffee and a few cookies, have previously garnered favourable reviews and will be offered once more during the 2019–20 school year.
We are excited to plan an exciting Christmas fayre with the Friends of the School and to further develop the outdoor space at Blyton and Laughton after the development of the outdoor areas and the multi-use games area. We also look forward to working with our neighbourhood churches in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
We feel we are giving the kids in Blyton, Laughton, and the nearby villages an engaging and all-encompassing education by combining our wonderful reading-inspired curriculum with our six Christian Values, which are woven throughout our Christian ethos.
I was excited to find signed photos and handwritten letters from children's author Enid Blyton stashed away in the cabinets because I am an enthusiastic reader.
A copy of the letters, which were written in 1961 to the school's students, is now on display at the Blyton site's lobby.
It piqued my interest to learn that Enid's forebears might have had a hand in naming the village of Blyton.
We had the pleasure of having Reading Rocks at the school in July 2019.
