From the The Buckinghamshire Primary Pupil Referral Unit
When The Oaks (Amersham), Woodlands (High Wycombe), and Pathways merged in September 2011, the result was the Buckinghamshire Primary Pupil Referral Unit (Aylesbury). Children who are having substantial social, emotional, or behavioural issues in their mainstream primary school are supported by us. Children may receive support through outreach or by enrolling in one of our programmes. All of Buckinghamshire's maintained elementary schools are served by us. In the academic year 2017–18, no students who attended the PRU full-time were permanently barred from attending their subsequent school. Just 7.9% of students obtained a temporary exclusion from school after a dual-registered placement with the PRU in 2017–18, and just 3.2% received permanent exclusion. In 2017–18, just 13.9% of students got a temporary exclusion from school after receiving outreach support, and only 1.3% were permanently excluded.
