Free school Endeavour Academy began operations in January 2018 and provides students in grades 10 and 11 from all throughout County Durham with an alternative education.
The academy is most suited for children who are not enrolled in traditional schools, particularly those who are dealing with social or emotional problems that may have affected their level of participation, academic performance, or attendance in a traditional setting.
A small programme called Endeavour Academy is located on the Peterlee Campus of East Durham College.
In a secure, comforting setting, our staff members offer an alternate curriculum.
Can Endeavor provide the student with an appropriate education and meet their specific needs?
Does the student exhibit social and academic behaviour that enables them to benefit safely from the services offered inside the college environment?
Endeavour Academy will not accept students who represent a serious risk to their own or others' safety.
In order to give our students with the vast range of post-16 vocational and non-vocational study options available at East Durham College, Endeavour collaborates closely with the college as a post-16 provider.
