The Meadows neighbourhood of Nottingham's City is home to Greenfields.
The school, which started in September 2005 as a result of the merger of Arkwright and Meadows Primary schools, is now 10 years old.
Children in the Nursery and Reception are cared for by the Foundation Unit.
75% of the children in the Meadows community are from minority ethnic backgrounds, with Pakistani Muslim children making up the majority of this diversified and culturally rich population.
The fact that there are students at the school from such a wide range of backgrounds is truly wonderful.
The school's student body speaks more than twenty eight different languages together.
Greenfields is an extremely prosperous institution.
Despite being a new school, its first OFSTED report (in February 2008) acknowledged that "This is a good school that is improving in every area of its operations.
The students have adapted successfully to their new learning environment thanks to effective leadership and supervision.
A celebration of the school's multiculturalism is at the heart of everything it does ".
Additionally, the school ranks in the top 10% of schools nationwide for the development that students make in the school from Foundation to Year 6 based on its success in Key Stage Two SATs tests over the past six years.
In March 2013, Greenfields underwent another OFSTED inspection and was found to be "Outstanding" overall.
The Nottingham Post named Greenfields as the "best school in Nottingham" in 2015.
