From the Ossett Holy Trinity CofE VA Primary School
Holy Trinity Primary School, which serves boys and girls from 3 to ll years old, first opened its doors in September 1876. Currently, there are about 360 kids listed on the rolls. We have nine classrooms plus a foundation unit that was built specifically to house a nursery and two reception classes. We also have a radio station, a wildlife garden, a food technology classroom, a library, a fixed equipment hall, and an ICT suite. The school is set in extensive grounds with a large field, a developing woodland and a variety of stimulating outdoor play equipment. Our goal is to give the kids a learning experience that drives them to excel in every subject area covered by the curriculum. We ensure that children are taught the skills they need to become independent and confident learners, problem solvers, team players and above all responsible and caring individuals. To ensure that the work is pertinent, purposeful, and well-matched to suit the needs of all of our children, teachers collaborate in teams to share preparation of the work. By doing this, we can better utilise the skills of a big staff team and raise standards for instruction and learning at Holy Trinity. I hope this website provides you a sense of our school; if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
