Welcome to the webpage for St. Andrew's Church of England Primary School.
We support an educational system that encourages success in learning and teaches students how to learn so that school is engaging and challenging for students of all skill levels, rather than one that is centred on rankings or results.
To do this, we think it's important to foster a culture of quality, fun, and creativity where each kid may express their unique abilities and talents.
Children learn to mature, become autonomous, and draw lessons from their failures at St. Andrew's Maghull.
We wouldn't have the kind of in-depth learning that is typical of St. Andrew's School without that challenge.
For instance, in fund-raising and charitable endeavours, they have found deserving causes and generated money for a yearly charity selected by the School Council.
A balance between teaching the "basics" (tables work, number bonds, grammar, handwriting, spelling, etc.) and enabling learning to take place through creative outcomes like Drama, Role Play, Hot Seating, storyboarding, and a multitude of other ideas that energise children's motivation and attitudes, is what helps children's academic and learning progress quickly against this Christian background of care and concern.
There can be issues between kids, even at a great school like ours that teaches and rewards the best behaviours.
These, however, are few, and when they do occur, we take the time to deal with them quickly and efficiently, allowing students to realise their mistakes.
How few incidents of misbehaviour there are is a key indicator of a good school.
However, great schools are also evaluated on how well they handle issues when they do arise. OFSTED took note of our effectiveness in this regard.
To put it simply, this is a terrific school with excellent teachers and great students. You just need to visit it in action and take in the ambiance to understand how unique the opportunities we provide for each and every child are.
We appreciate you visiting our website and taking the time to look around.
Call the school office at 0151 526 1378 to set up an appointment with me if you'd like to see for yourself what makes St. Andrew's so unique. I'll show you around the school and let you know what it's like to be a member of this remarkable family.
