As part of our core value of justice, we elect House Captains as one of our sources of "student voice." Each house at St. Frideswide is home to both youngsters and adults from the same year group. Following applications for the position, house captains are selected democratically. They coach their members and get to know each one personally throughout the course of the year, which fosters the formation of solid relationships. Every student in the school earns house points for their participation, civil conduct, and hard work. Furthermore, households compete against one another frequently in sports and other activities, focusing on cooperation and group loyalty. The winning house for each term is announced and given a house cup. It has been proven that using house point systems improves behaviour and motivation while encouraging a sense of identity and belonging among all students. The encouragement of friendship, teamwork, and constructive competition contributes to the improvement of the educational environment.
