The well-known Church of England Infant school St. John's is located in the Surrey village of Churt, close to Farnham. The school has a one-form entry and can accommodate 90 kids between the ages of 4 and 7. 30 kids can be placed in each year group. Together, the staff and governors foster a loving, joyful, stimulating, and caring Christian atmosphere in which the kids can flourish. Churt has a strong sense of community, and the school participates in lots of village events. The villagers really appreciate the country dancing performance our Yr 2 students put on each year for the village fete, and we are proud of our connection to the community. We have very strong ties to St. John's Parish Church because we are a church school. Rev. Clare Challis often conducts assemblies at the school while collaborating closely with Marion Stevens to foster a positive relationship between the church and the school. We hold our special worship services at St. John's Church with parents and the entire school community, such as for Harvest, Christingle, Easter, and the Yr 2 Leavers' Service. As part of their studies in RE, geography, and history, the kids also go to church. The Early Years Foundation Stage, National Curriculum, and Diocesan Syllabus for Religious Education are all fully met by the school curriculum. Every student has a right to a broad and balanced curriculum, which is supported wholeheartedly by the faculty and the board of governors. By taking students on informative field trips and inviting guests into the classroom, the curriculum is improved. Check out the various parts of school life that are emphasised on our website to learn more about our school.
