Our school's past is something we are aware of and have documented. Contact the school office if you have any further information so we can update this page. I'm grateful. In or around 1875, St. Stephen Primary School on Vansittart Road was founded. Later, it was transformed into Clewer St. Stephen School. There was also St Stephen College (run by the sisters of St John Baptist in Hatch Lane) on Vansittart Road, and information about this is available from one of the St Stephen Church wardens. A school for Princess Margaret Rose School, a senior girls' school, was constructed on Vansittart Road in 1906. Holy Trinity Primary School was located on Alma Road at the time (Hunter's Mews is currently there). Holy Trinity School and St. Stephen School united in 1978, creating Trinity St. Stephen First School. The site of the Princess Margaret Rose was taken over by this new school. (PMR school relocated to Windsor's Wood Close location. Later, this became Trevelyan Middle School). Historical student records have been moved to the Town Hall in Maidenhead or Reading's Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead archives. Historical church records may be available from St Stephen's Church (i.e.the baptism registers from 1912.). This photo was of the St Stephen Schhol Football Eleven for the 1899-1900 season.
