At Velmead, we celebrate our values and live by them; these values form the basis for all of our decisions and deeds.

To achieve greatness with care, Velmead employs a TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) methodology.
Our goal is for the kids to develop as well as they can academically, emotionally, physically, artistically, socially, spiritually, morally, and culturally.
Children, home-adults, staff, governors, other schools, medical professionals, social care personnel, local, national, and worldwide enterprises, the local authority, and the national government must all work effectively as a TEAM to achieve this for all of our children, all of the time.

Mastery learning, talking points, STS, ABC Cards, discussions, poetry, reviews, and evaluations; understanding expectations; peer marking; lolly sticks; chances to work in various group settings; success criteria; and future steps.
Different teaching methods are used; students are seated next to the teacher, and talking and listening are encouraged in a courteous manner. A TEAM attitude is also promoted, which fosters independence.
Red point sanctions include reminders about appropriate behaviour for learning, in-depth discussions, frequent assemblies about the Velmead Values, and our amazing PLANNERS.
