I appreciate you visiting Wilmington Grammar School for Girls' website, and I hope it provides you with a sense of the culture and values of our institution.
Since its founding in 1958, our school has assisted girls in achieving exceptional academic outcomes and offering a well-rounded education.
This is a school that has consistently been open to changing, seeking out new chances, and accepting new challenges.
We want to foster a love of study, an adventurous spirit, and a desire to achieve big dreams.
We place a big focus on developing students' skills and encourage them to embrace the "Wilmington Mindset," which celebrates resilience and the drive to innovate, try out new ideas, and gain confidence, independence, and resilience.
We strongly believe that respectful relationships are at the heart of our educational philosophy and that students learn most effectively when they are enthusiastic, engaged, and partners in their own education.
Our younger students have had the chance to fully immerse themselves in both the Enterprise curriculum and Mandarin.
Girls are taught in a single-sex classroom from Year 7 to Year 11.
However, thanks to our collaboration with Wilmington Grammar School for Boys, we provide a sixth-form curriculum that is unmatched in scope.
Our post-16 programme is infused with the same spirit of high ambition, and it works best when students have the chance to further develop their social and personal skills while still being intellectually stimulated.
At Wilmington Grammar School for Girls, we appreciate the role that each stakeholder plays and work together with parents to make sure that our students graduate as self-assured, capable, conscientious, and caring individuals.

I am a student in Year 7 and go to WGSG. and originally struggled to make friends. However, with help from the Pastoral (wellbeing) has made strong friends. I has now become a student care leader and am strong in academics. The teachers there are kind but firm and push you in the best way possible.
