We are happy to report that Woolston Brook School has maintained its Good overall rating from Ofsted following their visit on January 9 and 10. High expectations are promoted for students' behaviour and achievement by senior leaders and governors. The entire staff supports their goals. The school prioritises the physical and mental health of its students. Staff members nourish, laud, and support students. They help students develop their confidence and sense of security. A strength is the encouragement of students' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural growth. The education of students is enhanced by a variety of fun experiences. Students appreciate teachers and take pride in their accomplishments. As students develop a greater appreciation for school, their behaviour and attendance greatly improve. Although some requested additional homework, parents generally thought that their children were safe, well-cared-for, and receiving a high-quality education. We have already started to broaden the number of courses and qualifications offered, but there is still work to be done about how we use assessment information to plan for student advancement on a strategic level. Inspectors observed that since our previous inspection in 2014, which laid a firm foundation for the direction of travel, there has been ongoing growth and improvement. That this was made possible is a result of everyone's dedication, common goals, and hard work—including that of the students' families and current and former teachers. I want to especially thank Mike Frost, the outgoing head, for his contribution. Please take a look at our full report, which can be found on the Ofsted tab of the website.
