Our world is evolving quickly, and children of today will face competition in adulthood from both artificial intelligence and intelligent, capable, and well-educated people from various nations and cultures. The need for life skills, thinking skills, creative abilities, and people skills is being added to what we have historically considered to be basic information. These talents are all becoming more and more crucial. In order to provide a completely individualised education with depth and flexibility, Aberdour created PAL in 2007. The combination of a child-focused curriculum and significant investments in our employees, systems, facilities, IT, and resources have allowed us to support PAL. Genuinely innovative education has had a significant impact on the kids' abilities, successes, and pleasure of life. With the help of our 2020 Vision, we were able to see clearly how we could provide your kids even more of the skills they need to succeed in high school and in adulthood. Additionally, it provides a clear picture of how we can keep doing things that other schools do not offer. In summary, Aberdour School combines technology, aspirational development, and creativity with stimulating learning opportunities, caring attention, and encouragement tailored to each child. We also think that learning should be engaging and enjoyable, and that kids should be encouraged to laugh and smile in addition to studying, reflecting, working, and having fun. In contrast to other schools, Aberdour focuses on the opportunities of the future. I sincerely hope you will visit us if you're seeking for a school that truly understands young children and is committed to giving them the finest possible start in life.

Aberdour Preparatory School Reviews

The school has extensive grounds which are pricey to maintain. The effect is cost cutting to the extent that its classrooms are cramped, uninspiring and not equipped to the same academic standards as other preps. Aberdour (& its board of governors) have allowed teaching assistants to run lessons as teachers, unsupervised, for a period of time. More cost cutting at its finest. Can you imagine paying private school fees only to have your child taught...
I’ve seen parents loitering on the school grounds unsupervised (and unchallenged) in the morning leaving me to worry about my younger children walking to breakfast club by themselves. The leadership team seems incapable of handling confrontation from ‘influential’ parents and I have witnessed them chop and change their management according to who complains. When the unqualified Head ‘retired’ he left behind chaos by not properly overseeing the year 6 transition (leaving it to the Deputy...
We are also consider moving our children. There are concerningly parents wondering around on site unsupervised in the morning with full access to unsupervised children, homework is often not marked or marked several months late, children are glued to their eye pads playing games especially in homework club (the school clearly are not concerned about the risks of developing myopia in children), unqualified teachers including the previous head who was away with the fairies and...
Aberdour has gone downhill in recent years. They seem only interested in the fees. We took our son out due to the rampant cost cutting, no headmaster, and a failure to act on poor pupil and teacher conduct. The way they dealt with our complaint and feedback makes it no surprise that many parents are voting with their feet!
