From the Queenswood School
As head teacher, I am passionate about advancing the vision I have for the school, which is that Queenswood School gives its students not only an excellent education but also the tools they need to play a valuable role in society as self-assured, compassionate, thoughtful, and reflective individuals. These students are the future of society.
I'm adamant that the school builds on its recent accomplishments, including its stellar Ofsted rating, Platinum award from the "Sing-Up" programme, Silver Eco-School Award, International School Award, and Level One Award from Unicef as a "Rights Respecting School."
We've kept up our investment in ICT, giving every classroom access to custom-built computers with internet capabilities, laptops, and PCs, as well as interactive whiteboards.
In terms of sports, in addition to the weekly swimming lessons provided to all students from Reception to Year 6, our Sports Development Plan has allowed us to host home matches against other schools in many team games. In this regard, "we have gone from strength to strength," as it promotes not only interpersonal skills but also physical development and teamwork.
Students compare their school to a family.
All staff members treat students with warmth, respect, and fairness as a result of which students reciprocate by being kind, polite, and extremely well-mannered.
I am pleased that Ofsted has acknowledged that each kid is an individual and that fostering the development of the "whole person" is at the core of our principles.
You are cordially invited to come see for yourself what a superb institution Queenswood School is by meeting the teachers and students there.
